The movie that we watched in class was very interesting. Sara Baartman's strory was very interesting. At the age of twenty she was taken to Africa. In my opinion, i think she did not like her stay over there. She was promised to return home after 6 years but was denied it. While in Britian, She was viewed as Un-human,a creature and a freak. People stared at her. They studied her because she was was so different from them. She was observed sexually and physically . They even took her sexual parts out as well as her brain and displayed them even after she died.(jan.1816) This goes to show that even after she died, she was still being exploited. All in all, this movie was very interesting and it gives views of how Europeans viewed her and her physical features.
*This could be compared to African American Women today. They are always being exploited in certain ways,because of their bodies*
